AI consulting for law firms.
Law firms have two AI questions: where it earns hours back, and where it creates malpractice exposure. We answer both before we build.
The work law firms run by hand.
These are the operations we've seen compress the most when law firms hand them to a well-built AI workflow — measured against the actual hours your team spends, not a vendor demo.
- 01
New-client intake, conflict checks, and engagement letters
- 02
Document review, redaction, and discovery summarization
- 03
Time entry, billing narratives, and matter-status updates
What we typically ship.
Real workflows we've built for law firms. The right starting point for your team will be one of these — or a remix.
- 01
Intake & conflict-check agent
Captures matter type, opposing parties, and counsel from inbound forms or calls, runs a conflict check against your matter database, and routes qualified leads to the right attorney — with a partner-review step before any engagement letter goes out.
- 02
Document review & summary
Ingests discovery productions and contracts, extracts the clauses and dates that matter, and produces a reviewable summary with citations back to the source PDF. Attorney reviews, AI doesn't decide.
- 03
Time & billing narrative assistant
Drafts time entries and billing narratives from calendar + matter events, written in the language your billing partners expect. Attorney edits and approves before submission.
Discovery → Pilot → Production.
Every engagement starts with a one-week sprint — audit, ADR, and a written go / no-go on the operation you want to hand to AI. Roughly one in four pilots gets killed at that step; that's the point.
If we move to a build, you ship a single end-to-end agent on real data inside three to six weeks. We hand off repo, prompts, and runbook. Retainers exist for care and growth — never for lock-in.

- Doesn't AI hallucinate? How do you avoid citation errors?
- Yes, and we design around it. Every workflow that touches legal substance is retrieval-grounded (RAG over your matter docs), every output cites its source, and an attorney is in the approval loop before anything is filed, sent, or billed. We won't ship 'final-output AI' for substantive legal work.
- What about client confidentiality and the attorney-client privilege?
- We use enterprise-tier APIs with zero data retention, BAAs/DPAs in place, and self-hosted models when matter sensitivity warrants. Your matter data is not used to train any model. Engagement letters and our SOWs make this contractual.
- Will this work with Clio, MyCase, PracticePanther?
- Yes — Clio has a strong API; MyCase and PracticePanther we integrate via their APIs or middleware. We've also worked with iManage and NetDocuments for DMS-backed firms. We don't require you to change platforms.
Send us your most expensive operation.
We'll have an audit on your desk in five days.
One PDF. No deck. No obligation. We'll tell you whether AI is the right answer for it — and if it is, we'll quote the build the same week.
